I Am 70 Years Old. I Think I Had Some

Question: I am 70 years old. I think I had some kind of pneumonia shot maybe 7 or 8 years ago but not sure which one I know there are 2 pneumonia shots now for seniors. I think I should get both them. If so which ones, and do I get them at the same time or space them apart.
Brief Answer:
Yes, you should definitely take both of them.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Ask a doctor forum.
I can understand your concern.
There are two types of adult pneumonia vaccines.
1. Influenza vaccine (effective against viral pneumonia)
2. Pneumococcal vaccine (effective against bacterial pneumonia).
Influenza vaccine should be taken annually (once a year) and pneumococcal vaccine should be taken after 5 years.
You can take both these vaccines in single sitting. No harm in it.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
