I Am 71 Years Old. An Orthpedic Doctor Recently Prescribed Celebrex 200mg Once Daily. My Questions Are: 1. Any Contraindications With These Medicines? 2. Question: I am 71 years old.
An orthpedic doctor recently prescribed Celebrex 200mg once daily which I started taking two weeks ago.
I%E2%80%99m already taking daily: Tylenol, Benecar hct , duloxetine, metformin, neurontin, uroxatral, propranolol, tizanadine, Azelastine (nose spray), Flutocasone Propionate (nose spray) and occasionally Stendra.
The reason for the Celebrex is that Mobic, meloxicam and dyclofenac sodium caused severe constipation and taking Linzess for the constipation resulted in diarrhea.
For the first two weeks with Celebrex, no constipation issues and no need to take Linzess any longer.
My questions are:
1. Any contraindications with these medicines?
2. Any particular symptoms I should be looking for in this mixture of meds?
3. I%E2%80%99ve read that Celebrex can cause heart attack and stroke. Should this cause me worry and to stop taking Celebrex?

2. Look if your blood pressure values increase
Cekebrex lowers the effects of benecar.
It doesn't interact with tylenol , metformine and neurontine.
Lowers effects of duloxetine. Increase effect of propranolol.
Doesn't interact with tisanide and fluticasone spry.
Doesn't interact with uroxetral and stendra.
Talk to your doctor for possible adjusting dose of them.
3. It has risk of heart attack or stroke but your doctor has evaluated the situation and risks are so small and benefits overcome them. Don't have to worry.
