I Am A 19 Year Old Female I Have Bumps Are Not Painful Unless Touched And Contain Pus
Question: I am a 19 year old female and I have been getting bumps of my labia for about a year. I am a virgin (no penetrative sex nor oral sex), and I guess I just want to understand what this might be. These bumps are not painful unless touched and contain pus. They usually go away in about a week and I have not seen a doctor about it. I am very nervous that it my be genital herpes or warts but without having sex I don’t understand how that could be. They are firm to the touch, smooth in texture, and are flesh colored. They itch only when I feel it come on and nothing afterwards. They sometimes cause discomfort but do not cause any other symptoms such as fever or body aches. They also do not crust, they only release pus and blood when I squeeze them, similar to facial ache.
Brief Answer:
Folliculitis
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query,
The description fits that of folliculitis or in simple terms infection of pubic and vulval hair follicles. These follicles can get infected often especially during local razor shaving or have been seen in women with obesity where friction between legs can cause breakage of these hair follicles and then they can get infected forming pustule or skin bump with pus.
The answer or treatment for it is either popping it out or antibiotics if pus point is not formed These are usually painful and yes they mimic facial acne.
You may send a picture of the lesion for confirmation and differentiating it from STDs.
Wishing you good health,
Regards

Brief Answer:
folliculitis
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
This is typical folliculitis induced cellulitis with evidence of redness and pain. You need to be on antibiotics course for 6 days like tab amoxyclav 625 mg twice a day for 6 days. Also you may apply ointment soframycin locally over the lesion which would act as antibacterial and antiseptic. You may get them prescribed by your local doctor.
Keep the local area clean and moisture free.
Regards
