I have gained about 15 pounds in the past two years, but have become much more aggressive about strength training.
My average resting heart rate is 76 bpm (according to Apple Watch). Quite often, even at rest, it is a bit higher. As I write this, it is around 88 bpm.
During cardio exercise, my average heart rate is between 175-190 bpm. I understans the target HR for men during exercise to be quite a bit lower than that. Further, I have every once in a while noticed what appears to be an extra %E2%80%9Cbump%E2%80%9D on the ECG performed by the Apple Watch. Photo of such an ECG attached.
I have no known heart issues, and have had a preventive ECG performed 3 years ago that was normal. I am a regular coffee drinker.
Is there any reason for concern due to my relatively high resting and exercise HR?

I understand your concern and would like to explain that your resting and average exercise heart rate are not concerning.
Those ECG findings seem to be extrasystoles, that may happen in certain situations when generally extra-cardiac stimuli are present.
Coming to this point, first I would recommend avoiding stimulants like excessive coffee, caffeinated tea, close smoking contacts, anxiety etc.
If after that, palpitations persist and are frequent, then it would be necessary checking some lab tests, like complete blood count (hemoglobin level), thyroid hormones level, blood electrolytes level.
An ambulatory 24 hours ECG monitoring would help to exactly quantify possible extrasystoles in case they appear frequent.
Actually no limitations seems to be present for you exercise training. So relax and don't worry about it!
