Question: I am a 36 year old overweight female. For the past few months I have been feeling extremely exhausted, suffering from constipation and dealing with gas pains and bloating. My stomach constantly feels like it’s in knots. Within the least week my feet and ankles, along with my breasts have become very swollen. My breasts are swollen to the point of soreness and my nipples are stiff and sensitive. I am also feeling what feels to me like movement in my abdomen, along with some popping. (Maybe it’s all gas) If I would have conceived, it would have been at the end of October (7 months ago) I have had 12 negative home pregnancy tests, along with a negative blood test taken less than a week ago. The doctor also did a full panel of blood work to see if he could determine where my exhaustion is coming from. All results were normal, with the exception of slight low iron count. I have also lost a little over 50 lbs in the last 8 or so months without even attempting to do so. I have continued to have light bleeding each month, although it is no where near my normal period. Is it possible that I could be 7 months pregnant and still be testing negative? Is it something gastrointestinal, parasitic, maybe hormonal? I am so confused and nervous. Any suggestions?

Brief Answer:
hcg would have detected

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Pregnancy causes the release of HCG. The levels of this hormone increase as the pregnancy goes on, this means that the levels of HCG at 7 months are a lot higher than they would have been in the beginning.

Pregnancy tests detect the level of HCG. This means that they would have able to pick up the hormone by now since the levels would be getting higher and higher.
Pregnancy tests can normally detect this hormone by 1 to 3 weeks after conception.

This means that it is not likely that you are 7 months pregnant with negative tests

Low iron can lead to anemia which can cause fatigue, anemia would have shown up on your complete blood count.

Low levels of thyroid hormone, as well as low cortisol, can also cause this problem and can also affect periods.

Side effect of medications, chronic illnesses, depression can all affect persons in this way.
You may need to be screened for these conditions.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
