I Am A 42 Year Old Female In Good Health

Question: I am a 42 year old female in good health but is pretty sedentary. About a week ago, I walked briskly on the treadmill for 20 minutes. At the end of my walk, I developed a sharp stabbing pain behind my right eye. This pain lasted the entire day. I now have the same stabbing pain intermittently, though not as intense.
What could this be and is this normally a presentation of something I should be concerned about?

Brief Answer:
Wait and watch.
Detailed Answer:
My dear,
Thanks for sending your query to us.
Though this probably not an indicator of anything bad but still is a pointer that you have to keep active and take care of your general health.
Such pains and aches around eye can be related to inflammation in and around eye, like sinusitis.Though they will not be precipitated by exercise.
Take care of your general health and be alert and get back to me in case of any development.
Wait and watch.

Aside from sinusitis, what would cause pain behind one eye on and off? Do you think this could be an issue with the blood vessels in my head? I know anything is possible, but asking about the likelihood. What can I try at home, and how long should I go before actually going to the doctor (if it remains like this)?
Brief Answer:
Under observation
Detailed Answer:
My dear,
Good of you to get back to me.
Issues of blood vessels in the head have different presentation. When we approach a person with your complaints, thins have to be worked up from scratch.Starting with general examination to rule out hypertension, basic blood picture, complete eye examination and ENT checkup give us an idea as to which direction to proceed.
Only reto orbital pain is not enough pointer to start investigations for brain involvement, that needs some more pointing evidence.
If the problem persists,we proceed with basic tests and examinations.
