Brief Answer:
Can wait for a couple of days to see the results.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for sharing your health concern with us.
There are several factors that need to be considered in the current scenario.
Yeast infection or vaginitis is usually associated with irritation, excessive discharge and often with urinary tract infection. Burning sensation of the vagina is a result of thinned out lining. This can happen due to infection, decreasing hormones as perimenopause approaches, use of medications and so on.
This means burning sensation can be a presenting symptom of vaginitis.
I would ask you to wait for a couple of days before you see the result of treatment. If there is no respite in spite of proper treatment for vaginitis, further evaluation is needed. Complete blood picture, blood sugar levels and hormone assay are necessary to help plan further management. Vaginal swab is a useful test. Maintain proper hydration.
Hope I have answered your query. Please feel free to contact for further clarifications.I will be happy to help.
