Question: I am a 65 yr old male. I have had lymphoma and currently take meds for diabetes, lupus and hypertension. My last lab work I recieved on thursday. My PSA went from 0. Something to 7. For the last 3 nights and 2 days I've ran a temp and felt really bad. Now I can no longer urinate. Should I go to the ER now?
Brief Answer:
Please go to ER asap and have further investigations too.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history ad understood the concerns.
Since you are not in a position to pass urine, you have to go to ER asap, may need catherization or so to empty urinary bladder.
The raised PSA and fever is indicative of urinary tract infection and prostate may be enlarged or there can be prostatitis.
Further investigations of blood, urine, Ultrasonography for genitourinary system will help to pin-point the cause and gives a plan for proper further management.
I hope this answers your query.
Please give feedback once all the things are done.
With Regards.
