Question: I am a diabetic patient and and discovered my diabetes last year, without any symptom just a random checkup I found this disease...
My Hba1c was 9.6 and morning blood sugar was above 235.. But with a minimum amount of metformin 500 mg daily once, low carb diet and exercise in next three month I bring that down to 6.4% hba1c. And in next 4 month i was at 5.9% (in last august 2020).this was my history now i have some questions.
As i have type 2 diabeties, my mother dont have diabetes at the age of 65 now.. My father got this diasease at the age of 57. But last year my age was 32 at the time of test.. And my BMI is less.. 5.7 height and 64 kg weight.. So what could be the reason why i got this disease..?
I was in a high level of depression 5 years back does that can alone cause diabetes?
3rd.. everytime i read something about diabeties i feel depressed.. Even i am taking care still I have thought that soon this disease will be out of control.. Kindly tell me the real facts

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have gone through your query and here is my advice.

There are several causes for diabetes. It includes both genetic and lifestyle factors.

As per your history, in your case I think it may be due to family history of diabetes as diabetes runs in families and stress.

As per few studies, stress may affect on our overall hormonal system. Sedentary lifestyle is also one of the cause.

Now answer to third question, first I would really appreciate your efforts in reducing HbA1c and normalised blood sugar levels.

Real fact is that diabetes is now global disease. Nothing to concern if you are able to maintain normal blood sugar levels. It is possible with proper medication, diabetic diet and daily regular exercise for 30 to 40 mins.

Along with that, maintain proper body weight. Do regular blood pressure monitoring, lipid profile, kidney function check up with your physician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

I read on internet about some effects but i obverse a very different behaviour... If i check my blood sugar on bed soon after wake up its 107 but after 5 min when i cam from washroom its high to 124..what is the reason behind this?
And sir here in same website one doctor before told me that every sugar patient will reach a point that he need insuline... Is that true?
And last thing is if i control my sugar level properly still complications will come?

Hello,

Thank you for reply.

As you said, you had different morning sugar levels with same diet. Usually sugar levels are depends upon the diet quantity and your routine daily activities. So it may varies but should be within normal limit.

Chances of complications are less if your blood sugar levels are under control. They may appear very lately.

You may require insulin if sugar levels are not under control with oral medications, diet and exercise.

Diabetes is a multifactorial disease. Out of which Family history is one of the cause for diabetes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
