Question: I am a software developer, who spends 5-6 hours a day sitting. I do exercise for an hour every day. But for the past few months, I am experiencing a lot of lower back pain. I'm not able to bend for longer durations, and am unable to sit on the floor for a longer time.
What should I do?

Brief Answer:
could be slipped disc in L4-5, L5-S1.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
This ( Low Backache) is a very common problem in people working on computers for a long time. Generally the cause at your age is mild slipped disc in L4-5 or L5-S1 region.
I suggest pain killers , muscle relaxants ,physio- IFT + muscle strengthening exercises, Precautions( No weight lifting , avoid prolonged sitting and forward bending.). Generally these measures are adequate , if done for a few weeks.
If you don't feel any relief , then go for MRI L S Spine.
Thanks for the question. I hope to have answered your query. Please feel free to ask any other question.
Thanks.
