Question: I am bharti and i am 35 years old. My amh level of 0.3 and we are proceeding ivf procedure. we had 2 embryos in last three cycles with AB and AA grades. we need to know that because both embryos are not of same grades we want one more cycle to proceed and want to know that is this a good idea or we should go for transfer. We want to maximize the chance for preganancy and for that we need atleast one more embryo of same grade of any previous ones. That's why we want to go for one more cycle to get atleast an embryo

Brief Answer:
You should go for ET instead of procuring more embryos.

Hi....
Welcome to "Ask a Doctor" service.
I am Dr Ajeet XXXXXXX

I have gone through your query and here is my opinion.

Success of an IVF cycle can not be predicted on the basis of embryo grading alone.
Two embryos of AA and AB grading are fair enough for transfer.
Grade of embryo may change in a day and a B orC grade may change to an A grade blastocyst.

Your IVF consultant makes the decision of embryo transfer on the basis of several factors your age, fertility history, fate of past IVF cycles, hormone status, which embryos to transfer, number of embryos to transfer, anatomy of the uterine cavity and the day which will most likely lead to a successful implantation.
Looking to a low AMH level (Normal values are between 1 to 4) which is indicative of a low ovarian reserve and low fertility,in my clinical opinion, you should go for the embryo transfer straight away.
Though your IVF Consultant is the best judge.

Hope that I have answered your query.

Stay healthy and stay blessed.
Regards.
