Brief Answer:
Omalizumab is an option for moderate to severe asthma

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Omalizumab is indicated in moderate to severe asthma. Specifically, its indications are: in patients confirmed in a skin test to have allergy to aeroallergen, Pulmonary function test stating the lung function is less than 80%, frequent asthma symptoms and atleast two severe astha exacerbations. It can be given and has shown efficacy irrespective of eosinophil count.

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Brief Answer:
You are still borderline

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

We may not see complete control of asthma symptoms with any treatment.

Omalizumab can be taken by you or you can wait it out. It is your choice. I have seen some patients claiming relief in their symptoms. In case you get allergic reaction to Omalizumab, then it will need to be withdrawn (forever).
