I Am Currently In The Ending Stages Of Some Kind
Question: I am currently in the ending stages of some kind of chest infection or bronchitis. I am currently just coughing up small amounts of clear/yellow mucus in the morning. This past Friday morning I got out of bed, felt some mucus in my chest and coughed it up in the bathroom sink. I noticed that there were a few specks of bright red blood in the mucus. I felt is though I could cough up a little more mucus, so I did within 30 seconds of coughing up the first time. However, the second time it was a string of mucus with a bright red string of blood in it. Since those two times I have not coughed up anymore mucus with blood in it. I assume that if it was something serious I would continue to do so. I just keep thinking about it and wanted to chat with a doctor to get his/her opinion.

I can understand your concern but you don't have to worry so much about your concern
In our daily work practice we have patients with bronchitis who might have blood in secretions . Some might have it in the first days of the disease and others in the last days.
The cause is that after a harsh reflex of cough the vessels rutpure due to the effort and the blood is seen in the secretions
Mostly with the improvement of the situation it doesn't not repeat anymore.We do not do anything special only just monitor the secretions and if you have taken treatment do it correctly till the end.
If you smoke just don't smoke at least these days.
