The detailed answer is given below.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

Thanks for contacting Ask A Doctor 24X7...

The idea of reducing the belly fat without losing the body weight can be only possible when you are on a balanced weight maintenance diet (according to your BMI) and when you do exercises which are especially for reducing and toning of the abs.

The diet what you were following (IF) is scientifically proven to reduce the body weight, but there is no specific diet which can do the spot reductions eg. the belly fat, fat on thighs, hands, etc. With a proper exercise routine, you would be able to strengthen the abdominal muscles. This would slowly bring about changes in the waist circumference also.

In addition to the dietary modifications, exercises are equally important, especially the ones for abs.
