I Am Experiencing Bleeding From The Right Nostril Almost Every
Question: I am experiencing bleeding from the right nostril almost every evening. I live in a dry, desert climate--El Paso, TX--but this is a new problem which started 2-3 months ago.

For that you can use decongestant spray containing oxymetazoline locally twice daily. In case of allergy, you can take tab. claritin 10 mg once a day. These medications should be available over the counter.
Along with that use nasal saline drops locally. You can also apply petroleum jelly.
I would suggest you to do blood pressure monitoring. Avoid picking and blowing nose forcefully. Use humidifier.
During bleeding, never lie down. Press nose for at least 10 mins. Let me know I can assist you further.

Dr. XXXXXXX you answered my question thoroughly, and in the process asked me 2 questions: 1) Do I have history of allergies? The answer is that, after age 60, I began having mild allergies for short periods when certain plants bloom. These are not serious enough to even take medication. 2) Do I medications like aspirin?
I take only a baby aspirin once a day. I rarely have headaches, so almost never take aspirin of any other type.

Usually tab aspirin increases chances of bleeding tendencies during dry climate. So kindly take physician's opinion.
Otherwise please let me know indication of tab. Aspirin i. e. Why it was started? Follow up with detailed history.
