Brief Answer:
unfortunately can be difficult to treat

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Arthritis can be a cause of severe pain in some persons, limiting activity.
Unfortunately it is sometimes not completely cured but can be improved

In addition to pain killers such as meloxicam, the other options would be : (1)physiotherapy- this helps with the muscles surrounding the joint, it increases stability, mobility and muscle strength and can be very helpful for most persons

(2)additional pain medications such as tramadol ( though this can cause nausea in some persons and may affect you- it can be combined with dramamine) this is one the meds that can be used along with meloxicam to help with pain relief
Topical aids such as capsaicin or voltaren can sometimes be helpful depending on the joint

(3)Weight loss of any excess weight ,if present, would also reduce the load on the joints and this would cause some pain relief as well
Weight loss can be achieved with diet alone, there are different diet options available eg low carb diet, low fat/low calorie diet, mediterranean diet or variations of one of these.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
