I Am Going To Get IOL’s Would Monovision IOLs With
Question: I am going to get IOL’s would Monovision IOLs with one eye for distance and one eye for reading work for me. My eyes are healthy except for cataracts. I used to wear just one contact. My dominant eye is my left eye. Right now my worst eye is 20/200 without glasses. I have astigmatism in my right of greater than 2 and in my left of 1.4. I read with 20/40 vision. What would you recommend between monodical single vision distance or monodical one for near one for distance. My hobbies are gardening, hiking. Drawing cooking & I do use the computer but not for work. Thanks

Hey thanks for the question . I would like to know your age to be able to advice better . If you already wear an aid for near vision then its better to get monofocal for distance and wear spectacles for near . If you dont wear any aid why not go multifocal for both eyes ? They are a bit expensive though so you can discuss regarding this with your consultant surgeon . Hope it helps. Regards
