Kindly send details

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to "Ask a Doctor" service.

I have read your query and here is my advice.

In order to be well prepared and to provide the correct information about your symptoms to your Doctor you need to:

1-Write down all of your symptoms. Try to give to your Doctor details about what's causing your concern about your memory or mental function as well as your motor symptoms. Make notes about some of the most important examples of forgetfulness or other lapses, your motor difficulties you want to mention.

2-Take along a family member with you. A family member can give valuable information about your issues.

3-Make a list of your other medical conditions for example for diabetes, heart disease, past strokes or any other conditions.

4-Make a list of all your medications. Your doctor will want to know about any prescription and over-the-counter drugs, vitamins or supplements you're taking.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

I added many more details to my question but was unable to submit them. Here are my sx, mostly developed over the last 9 mos:

Forgetfulness noticed by others
Shoulder, hip and lower back pain (started with one shoulder then the other, and only in one hip)
Mood changes
Small twitches in both elbows
Involuntary flexing of toes on R side
A rheumatologist said I have cogwheeling and scoliosis and a resting tremor, though the tremor to me seems intermittent.
No changes in smell or handwriting.
I know u can’t give me a definitive diagnosis but am hoping you could offer a guess or some possibilities. The rheumatologist thought possibly Parkinsons. Thanks for any thoughts

Brief Answer:
Different neurological conditions to consider.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.

Okay then, Parkinson's disease may be a possible explanation, however, your symptoms are not completely typical for this condition, especially forgetfulness, pain.

There is possible also that different conditions may coexist, mild cognitive impairment and vertebral spine spondylosis with subsequent spinal cord or nerves compression for example may cause such issues.

Besides the Neurologist evaluation, i think that imaging studies ( MRI of brain and spine ) will be necessary to achieve a correct diagnosis.

Hope this helps.

Feel free to discuss with me if you have additional questions.

Take care.
