Question: I am having headache. Any medicine you would suggest
Brief Answer:
Need more details...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Can you elaborate?
How long have you been having these 'Regular headaches"?
Do you have any associated symptoms with headache such as nausea, vomiting?
Do sound and light worsen the headache?
Can you describe the pain - dull pain, a throbbing ache?
Have you seen a doctor for headaches in the past?
Does it get better with regular pain medications? If yes, which one?
And how frequently do you have these headaches?
Regular headache may or may not be due to migraines. For now, you can take regular pain medications to control headache. I'd suggest tab Dolo 650 and if that doesn't help tab. Naxdom 500mg. Naxdom may cause gastritis so it should be taken only after a meal.
Regards

Hello Sir,
Please find my answers below -
How long have you been having these 'Regular headaches"? - It's been now for pretty long time. I guess, more than 15 years.
Do you have any associated symptoms with headache such as nausea, vomiting? - No other symptoms as such. Sometimes I feel like vomiting but not always.
Do sound and light worsen the headache? - No
Can you describe the pain - dull pain, a throbbing ache? - So the pain starts mildly from the part where neck and right-back of head meet. Then the pain slowly starts increasing. If I manage to get some rest/message, it eases but if not then after half an hour I have severe pain. Pain is mostly in the right part of the head.
Have you seen a doctor for headaches in the past? - No
Does it get better with regular pain medications? If yes, which one? - Earlier I used to take Combiflam but recently I switched to Dynapar, as I was suggested that I should not take only one medicine regularly. After taking these medicines, pain eases in half an hour.
And how frequently do you have these headaches? - There is no fixed schedule. What I have observed is, if there is any environmental change for example - rain/cold/hot, I start getting headache. Also If I do a lot of physical work or if my sitting posture is not good, then also I start having headache. Sometimes I do not have headache for 2 months and sometimes 2-3 times in a week.
Thanks, XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Untypical of migraines...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Typically migraine headache nausea, vomiting, aura, and other associated complaints. And invariably sound and light worsen migraine headache.
You seem to be suffering from a different variety of chronic headaches.; tension headache perhaps. Treatment of tension headache is pain killers during acute episodes and avoiding triggers. Usually, the triggers for tension headache are stress/worries; lack of sleep, skipping meals; walking into the hot sun; and so on. Kindly check if any of these or other triggers cause headache. If yes, you should avoid those triggers.
You may take any of the regular pain killers that is helping the headache. However, if headaches are very frequent, say once or more than once a week instead of pain killers every time, you will benefit by taking preventive medications - prophylactic medicines. There are multiple prophylactic medications available for such cases - such as flunarizine /amitriptyline. Contact your local doctor/neurologist to discuss about prophylactic medications.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarification.
