I Am Having Pain In My Right Heel Can You
Possibly plantar fasciitis
Detailed Answer:
Hello, I'm Dr. Branch, thanks for using Ask a Doctor. Common causes of heel pain include plantar fasciitis, tarsal tunnel syndrome, and achilles tendon insertion pain. Plantar fasciitis is usually on the bottom of the heel, and is the worst in the morning or with beginning activity, and gets better with activity. Tarsal tunnel syndrome causes nerve irritation that can radiate to other areas of the foot and calf, and it usually is worse at night and after standing. Achilles tendon insertion pain has pain at the back of the heel, often affects people who do a lot of walking, hiking, or stair climbing, and is tender when you press at the back of the heel.
There are many other causes for heel pain, but those would be the most common. The only way to be sure is to have a doctor examine you, but if you would like to tell me more about the heel pain (how long you have had it, what makes it worse or better, where exactly is it, etc), I can try to give you a better idea of what it might be and what needs to be done to treat it.
I hope that helps, please let me know if you have any questions about any of that, and I would be glad to discuss it with you further.
