I Am Not An MD. - My Wife Had A
Question: I am not an MD. - My wife had a collapsed womb and had a ring fitted 6 months ago. She is in no discomfort but was told that it needed to be checked or replaced in 6 months! Because of the current situation we are reluctant to visit the hospital. She is worried and needs assurance that she can put off the visit for several weeks as necessary.
Brief Answer:
She can wait few more weeks.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
As per your description it seems like your wife Js having uterine prolapse and something called “vaginal Pessary“ was inserted as a temporary measure.
Generally pessary has to be changed in every four to six months, otherwise it can cause vaginal discomfort or infection.
If she is not feeling any discomfort or if no signs of infection, you can wait for few more weeks.
As of now maintain good personal hygiene and clean the genital preferably with over the counter available clotrimazole lotion.
Hope I have answered your query.
Thanks
