I Am Now On My 4th Round Of Antibiotics And

Question: I am now on my 4th round of antibiotics and I still have a Uti/Kidney infection. In January I was prescribed Bactrim DS. Then a few weeks later I still had the infection so I was prescribed Macrobid for 5 days. A month passed and I was emitted to the hospital for a Kidney infection and was precribed another round of Macrobid but for 10 days. Now I had to go to the hospital again for the same infection but I was prescribed Keflex for 10 days. I am a single full time mom, and I do not have any partners or have had sex since my son was born almost 3 years ago. I drink plenty of water and I do not do drugs or drink. I work in a Pharmacy as a Technician, but honestly I have no clue what is happening. I only get severe symptoms right when it is at its worst. I do not normally have symptoms until too late. I am also on Minocycline 100 mg capsules that I take for my skin that I started early last fall. I am completely stumped.
Brief Answer:
Should do an urine culture to get antibiotic according the antibiogram
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome in "Ask a Doctor".
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Based on your history I suggest to do an abdominal ultrasound to exclude a problem in your urinary system and as well should do an urine culture to get antibiotic according the antibiogram results (culture and antibiotic sensitivity).
You should know that some antibiotics that you have used could be resistant and the treatment could failed.
Hope I have answered your query.
