Question: I am on 100 mg of Zoloft and have been for 3 weeks now. I have been on Zoloft for 4 months total.
I have been experiencing side effects like digestive upset, sweating, and a bit of anxiety.
Is this to be expected and if so how long should I wait to see if I need to decrease the dose?

Brief Answer:
No need to wait

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

Three weeks is more than enough time to settle the zoloft associated temporary side effects and I do not think you need to wait further for this purpose. Generally it takes one to two weeks to disappear for time limited side effects of zoloft and three weeks is time when where you need to consider decreasing the dose to get relief from side effects.

In case there is appropriate improvement in the symptoms for which zoloft was prescribed you can wait for one week more before deciding the low dose of zoloft as in are cases it can take four weeks to settle time limited side effects of zoloft.

I hope this helps you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.\
Thanks and regards.
