Question: I am sending my oct report do I have macular degeneration.. so scared and worried about my eyes thanks so much..please help me understand thanks

hey thanks for the question. Do you have myopia? this looks like the OCT report of a myopic fundus with mild membrane in the left eye . There doesnt seem to be any macular degeneration in both the eyes . The memrane is also very subtle and in initial stages so we dont need to do anything for it . Hope my answer helps you . Yes I am -10.50 in right eye and -7.00 in the left eye..thank you so much for your answer ..my doctor had coded it as macular degeneratiob so this had me worried.. I appreciate you!!

Do you see this often with nearsidedness? Is it a corrective problem? I do have a small cataract am I at big risk to do that surgery? You are so helpful thanks again!!
