Brief Answer:
It seems perfectly benign
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for the very elaborate history. In short, the pathology report says mild inflammation from various locations in your stomach and esophagus. With diet (no smoked or spicy food), protonix, abstinence from tobacco and alcohol, I would presume that it takes some weeks to a few months to completely heal. The changes at the gastroesophageal junction will likely change back to normal just as it will at the other locations. If the pathology report says Barrett's esophagus anywhere, it could be relevant to re-do the gastroscopy in a years' time.
Hope this helps.

Brief Answer:
The changes will go away
Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
You should not worry. It is not serious at all, the most likely cause of the inflammation is ibuprofen and possibly also the aspirin. I recommend you do not take ibuprofen or other NSAIDs again. Continue to stay away from spicy food and take the Protonix; the changes are temporary and will likely subside within a few weeks. After a few months, you can go back to eating spicy foods, as long as it does not upset your stomach or cause any pain.
Hope this helps.

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
Yes, it can happen again. You can take food from outside. It is not necessarily a life-long problem, if you follow my advice from previously, it will probably never bother you again.
"Patchy mild irritant changes" is virtually the same as mild inflammation, nothing to worry about.
Hope this helps.
