Brief Answer:
Considerations

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for sending the query,

Norvasc (also known as amlodipine) is not known to alter or lower kidney function. Also, the Norvasc should not cause any type of pain.

There are a multitude of things which may affect kidney functions including medications as you have asked about here.

I suspect there are other factors involved in the overall function of your kidneys. For this reason I would strongly suggest that you sit down with your physician and discuss your concerns.

Again, I thank you for reaching out to us with your query.

I wish you all the best and continued excellent health.

Sincerely,

Dr. Galamaga
