I Am Wanting Someone To Look At My Blood Work

Question: I am wanting someone to look at my blood work and see if it is concerning for cancer? I have been getting complete workups done since 2017 when I've been overly concerned with my health and cancer because they found what turned out to be benign hemangiomas on my liver. Most of my blood work falls in the normal range, which is somewhat comforting , except cholesterol and that has always been high. My question concerns my recent labs showing steadily increasing platelet counts. They have always been higher, but this was the first time it has been way out of normal range at 419 T/uL. Showing normal at 140-400 on the lab sheet. The other lab company I use shows normal up to 450 T/uL so not sure why the difference, but it does keep getting higher and that's concerning because everything I read says cancer...or could higher just be normal for me? This last test I was really stressed out and high anxiety over COVID-19 test I got the same day (negative) so not sure if stress or adrenaline can impact that number at all? I have lost appetite and weight recently and have digestive issues also and I thought it was extreme stress and worry until I got my blood tests back with platelet level. This is how they have been going up and down but on average rising 2/3/17 = 360 - 3/9/17 = 312 - 02/01/18 = 318 - 11/6/18 = 360 - 8/8/2019 = 321 2/25/20 = 376 - 4/15/20 = 370 and most recently 4/27/20 = 419. The odd thing is my CRP levels have been decreasing from 5.27 in 2018 to 3.2 in 2019 to 2.2 now. Just would like some insight on the meaning of this and other possibilities besides cancer that platelets could be so high? All other blood markers are within normal range, but I would just like someone to review all of my labs and tell me what they think is going on. I can pay whatever need be for an expert opinion. Very worried. Thanks

Brief Answer:
Thrombocythemia

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for posing your concern. I have gone through your detailed investigations and radio imaging reports. The rising trend of platelets is definitely a question of concern. Though I consider it still in normal range but we should be concerned about it. There can be many reasons for it and initially i would recommend a peripheral blood smear examination report in your new cbc with marker CEA and and serum alpha fetoprotein level to rule out some more conditions. if the trend keeps on increasing I will not hesitate to advise for bone marrow examination. But Mr. XXXXXXX be assured it is not alarming. keep yourself stress free and hope there wi;ll not be further increase in platelets.
Good wishes

Brief Answer:
Thrombocythemia

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for reverting. The tests I advised are all included in the investigations you will be undergoing. So no more investigations from my side except to view for peripheral smear examination. if CBC warrants I will move for bone marrow examination. According to me till this day your platelets though elevated are in normal range. 4,50000/ c mm we take normal. Addition of another test i.e serum iron profile would be an added advantage.

Dear All your tests are in normal range. we will watch for platelet trend which at present is in normal range though shown elevation. If there is marked elevation next option is bone marrow. Please enjoy and stay stress free .
