Question: hi i am worried about a pain behind my right knee. it feels like a strained muscle but so much worse. been about 1 week. It hurts about 10 inches with 3 inches above my knee the worst part at my knee and little below and then the rest it goes down my leg. After a few minutes of sitting it%E2%80%99s very hard to put pressure on it. And I%E2%80%99m concerned it might be a blood clot

If you have pain and swelling of calf then it’s likely a blood clot and you need to go to your Hospital Emergency Department immediately.

Muscle sprain or tear can cause chronic pain. Apply ice 5-6 times a day. Keep limb elevated. Partial weight bearing can be done in the affected limb with the help of crutches. You can get an Ultrasound or MRI to find the injury.
