Question: I attached 2 images of my 2 most recent blood results. ive always had a borderline low platelets and a high mpv and my doctor never even told me about it. i just recently asked for my blood results out of curiousity and found my most recent platelet count to be 94,000 with a high mpv and high hematocrit. of course i started googling and now i feel like i have some mysterious disease... why would my doctor not even tell me about this? because from what i looked up on google there is usually always a certain condition causing low platelets and high mpv? should i consult a hematologist appointment for further testing just to make sure everything is okay?

Brief Answer:
You are not having any mysterious disease

Detailed Answer:
Hi

I have gone through your blood reports.

Your platelets and mpv are not that low.

Sometimes platelets stick to each other called giant platelets may cause it to be low.

But since you are not having any symptoms like weight loss and swollen lymph nodes there is nothing to worry and you are not having any mysterious disease

Regards
