I Believe I Have A UTI--pain When Urinating, Urgency To

Question: I believe I have a UTI--pain when urinating, urgency to urinate frequently, discomfort in my groin. I took an AZO UTI test. It was positive for Leukocytes and negative for Nitrite. I want to know if I can take AZO Urinary Tract Defense antibacterial protection plus general pain reliever. The precautions on the drug facts say that I should ask a doctor if I am taking a blood thinner (Eliquis) or diabetes medication (Metformin). I am taking both. I did call my general health care provider's office this morning and left a message for a call but I have not heard back. I am out of town and cannot go to my doctor's office. What is your advice?
Brief Answer:
Do an uroculture.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and thank you for asking again.
I read your query and here is my advice.
I think you should do an urine test and uroculture.
The uroculture will show which antibiotics can be used to cure the infection.
I think you should not use AZO UTI since you are taking both eliquis and metformin.
It also will not resolve your problem definitively because you need antibiotics.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

What is a uroculture? Are you basically telling me I must get to my doctor and give a urine sample? I am not in the town where my doctor resides. I am at our second residence and I have no established doctor in this town. Is there nothing that I can use or take to ease the discomfort until this UTI resolves on its own or until I can see my doctor?
Brief Answer:
Use cranberry juice and vitamin C.

Hello dear and thank you for asking again.
Doing an uroculture means that you need to go to any doctor to do the urine analysis and take right treatment.
The antibiotics are sold only with prescription so you can't do it right now.
You can try to treat it in a more natural way using cranberry juice which can be taken without prescription in pharmacy or in supermarket.
Drink lots of water and fluids to flush out the toxins.
Use Vitamin C supplements to increase urine acidity and make it not suitable for bacteria to grow.
Acetaminophen may help you relieve the pain and urge to urinate.
