I Believe I Have Some Sort Of Bite Or Sting
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: I believe I have some sort of bite or sting and my skin is blistering and turning yellow around it that I would like to know more about
Brief Answer:
an infection is likely present
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
As you stated the original trauma can be related to an insect sting/bite but the yellow indicates that at the moment there is an infection of the area.
The area may be warmer than the surrounding areas, tender, red- these are all typical of an infection
It is possible that it may respond to warm compress (to encourage drainage) and topical antibiotics but in the event that oral antibiotics are needed, it would be best to see your doctor for an assessment.
In some cases, an abscess (localized collection of pus) forms and this may burst or need to be incised in office.
I hope this helps
