Brief Answer:
Ask for enema.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for choosing "Ask A Doctor" service for your query,
I've read your details and am sorry for the problems that you are having,
Proper defecation requires a proper peristaltic moment of the rectum muscles in response to the filling up of excessive poop in it.
Diabetes causes degeneration of nerves all over the body including rectum hence stool passage becomes difficult despite using laxatives.
Suggestion:
Ask you Doctor for Enema to relieve you of constipation.
Even if Enema doesn't work, do revert back.
Change of water brand has nothing to do with this.
Drink not more than 3-liter water a day.
Do let me know how your feeling after enema...
Thank you
