Question: I do not have Corona Virus as I have virtually no symptoms other than mild sore throat and minor sniffles. I also have some post nasal drip. I had a right side sore throat for 5-7 days and it’s now moved to left side 4-5 days hasn’t left. I am taking antibiotics but no help. What do you think? Why did it move?

Brief Answer:
Alternating tonsil infection

Detailed Answer:
Dear sir,
I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns but these symptoms are probably due to viral infection.

Since there is an ongoing pandemic, not showing the usual symptoms doesn’t exclude coronavirus infection as some patients don’t show any symptoms. You need to isolate yourself and monitor your body temperature every 6-8 hours.

As for the pain moving from one side to another, this is because only one tonsil got infected followed by infection of the other tonsil.

I hope you find this helpful.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
