Question: I experienced trauma to my cervix during sexual intercourse 5 days ago and I've been bleeding lightly ever since. I'm having difficulty holding my urine...I some incontinence and I have chills when I urine. Urination is not painful but there is a slight feeling of pressure in the cervix area when I urinate. I urinate about every 20 mins and there is very little urine. I can't get an appointment with the doctor I've chosen until a couple of weeks from now and I'm concerned.

Following is my reply:

1) This looks like a trauma to you urethra, through which urine comes out and base of urethra (sphincter) which holds urine.

2) This needs to be treated on emergency basis with a pessary till permanent solution is available using surgery appointment.
