I Feel Like I Have A Pill Stuck In My

Question: I feel like I have a pill stuck in my esophagus from yesterday. I have been diagnosed with GERD and have esophageal stricture . I have been to the hospital twice with food stuck in my esophagus. Last time was March of this year. The dr suspected eosinophilic esophagitis and stretched my esophagus. I swallowed a half pill of metoprolol last night. And it did not feel like it went all the way through. All night and into today I feel very agitated and the feeling of the pill is still there. When I burp it feels like liquid is coming up and down in my esophagus. I spit up foamy liquid that tasted like bile. Could this pill still be there? Could it have agitated my esophagus sphincter so it feels like liquid is in esophagus. I do not want to have to go to a dr due to Covid. Could there be a possibility that pill is still there or do I just have lots of inflammation and agitation. I have not tried to drink anything in a while due to fear of aspiration.
Brief Answer:
Please go through detailed answer dear.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for choosing "Ask a Doctor" service for your query,
Have seen your details and i appreciate your concerns.
As per your query very likely the pill is not there..However chances are that the pill had eroded the soft mucosa of esophagus which gives a feel that something is there in esophagus...Secondly bruised mucosa secretes lots of mucous.
Suggestion-
Take Sucralfate syrup two table spoon twice daily for 7 days.
Tylenol could also be taken to suppress inflamation.
If things are not improved in 3 days visit hospital for laryngoscopy.
Hope i was helpful.
Thank you!

Hi sorry I did not get back to you. I ended up going to the hospital. Can you review the report I got and give me your impression?
One part I am not sure of the meaning is the following:
GE Junction: Diaphragmatic hiatus at 40, XXXXXXX 38
What are those numbers? Also there are some pictures.
See attachment
Picture 2: has a round structure what could that be
Picture 4: what is that showing

Brief Answer:
You have to wait for biopsy results.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank.you for follow up.
In lay mans language your esophagus is inflamed(you could see the red color in picture that shows inflammation.)
This inflammation is a result of reflux of acid from stomach into esophagus.
The mucosa(top lining) of stomach is designed to withstand acid but esophageal mucosa can't withstand acid reflux and hence when acid refluxes back it gets injured.
1)40,38 I am not sure sir this is not a standard reporting procedure.
2)Biopsy results would show what it is.
Thanks!
