Brief Answer:
Psychological involvement needed

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for using the Ask a Doctor service.

I have gone through your query and understand your concerns.

I do not think that there is a problem with the body's organs. Rather, the problem seems to be with the activation and that involves psychological arousal. Prolonged foreplay is the key to proper arousal which is essential in order to achieve a good erection. Your anxiety could be making things worse.

I would insist you not to panic. Prolonged foreplay and psychological involvement with your partner would provide a way out. If there is a problem, taking drugs like sildenafil (viagra, Penegra) and similar ones would help. You would, however, need to discuss with your doctor before using them.

The next part is the involvement and psychological arousal. It might be beneficial to visit a psychologist. He/she would be able to provide you with some simple tips which would help you to cope better and to let go of your mental inhibitions which might be standing in your way.

I am quite sure that would help. The role of further checkup would come only after that.

Feel free to write back.

Regards

Brief Answer:
Would not help.

Detailed Answer:
You can feel free to take A to Z multivitamin but it would not help in good erection. Rather taking zinc and folic acid supplements would help in improving your sperm count and motility.

Answered by Dr. Prof. Kunal Saha (2 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Vitamins (Indian or foreign) do not help in erection

Detailed Answer:
Unfortunately, vitamins do not help in erection. You need to get yourself evaluated by an urologist to check whether you have impotence or whether it is due to a simple psychological phenomenon. Intervention will vary accordingly.
