Brief Answer:
Need further evaluation

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome.
This is Dr Sameer, cardiologist.
Prolonged immobilisation of limbs causes stagnation of blood in the dependent part of body. This is a normal phenomenon and the blood which comes in the superficial veins gets drained back into the deeper veins through a system of smaller veins called as perforator veins.
In simple language, it is like deep drainage pipe underground which are connected to small pipes of our home through connecting pipes. If these connecting pipes gets blocked, then pressure over outside pipes (veins) increase and their is swelling.
I'll need some details about you for further evaluation like What is your age?
Do you have any breathing difficulty on exertion or lying down?
Do you have any history of high BP or diabetes?
Do you have any leg pain or joint pain on walking?

I'll advise you for certain tests-
Both Lower limb veinous Doppler. Other testing will depend on the answer of above questions.

Thanks and regards
