Question: I fell when getting out of bed and hit the right side of my lower back on a wooden waste basket. Yesterday I had considerable pain on the right side of my lower back so I restricted my activities all day. Today the pain is worse. It is very painful to stand up and sit down, to bend at the waste and try to pick something up off of the floor. When I try to bend at the waist, I also have pain on the front side of my body and cannot open door to my freezer. I have not called my doctor yet. but plan to Monday. I'm thinking I might possibly have some internal tissue damage, but am not certain.

Brief Answer:
May be due to muscular blunt trauma.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have gone through your query and here is my advice.

As per your history, the pain may be due to muscular blunt trauma.

Please let me know if you have abdominal pain, leg or knee pain also ?

You can continue tab Aleve, apply diclofenac gel locally with heating pads, use support while walking.

If you do not get relief then for further assement you can do MRI back with whole spine after detailed medical examination and orthopedician consultation.

Hope i have answered your query, kindly let me know if i can assist you further.....Thank you.

Regards,
Dr Shyam Kale.
