I Felt A Weird Bump On The Inside Of My Lip About An Hour Ago

Question: Hello. I felt a weird bump on the inside of my lip about an hour ago. I felt the inside of my lips with my tongue, and it feels like it is connected to a vein. I think it’s a vein that’s gotten enlarged. I can also feel it pulsating. It is not painful at all, but I’m worried.

Hello I have attached some photos. This came suddenly, I was not eating or chewing. The lump looks purple when pushed on. I am thinking this is an enlarged vein? I am 28, female. Thank you.
Brief Answer:
Submucus cyst - may need excision if does not resolve
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback and clear photos.
This is a classical ''submucus cyst''.
This is benign.
Oral mucosa has its own small salivary glands. The gland here has blocked duct hence the saliva is retained.
This may remain the same, may resolve or increase a bit. Many a times this gets ruptured and reappears.
Keep a watch, consult an ENT or General Surgeon.
May need simple excision under local anesthesia.
Nothing to worry.
Take care.
