I First Started Having Floaters And Flashers In My Left

Question: I first started having floaters and flashers in my left eye. (This was before my lumbar decompression surgery) After my spinal surgery, I still had the floaters. Those floaters turned into eye pain, and now bad headaches everyday. I have seen an eye doctor and he couldn’t find anything wrong with my eyes. I used to XXXXXXX a lot without any eye protection. I’ve also been feeling nauseous but I also have bad anxiety. And I feel like my ear on that same side is almost muffled. Like my hearing is different. These are all new symptoms.
Brief Answer:
Visit a neurologyst.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
Taking count that your ophthalmologist examination is clear then the floaters are not related to eye issues such detachment of retina.
This isn't related neither to the lumbar surgery you recently had.
You are saying that you also have headache, ear congestion feeling and nausea so the best thing to do is to visit a neurologyst also.
You should keep the sunglasses to protect your eyes . Good managing anxiety is also needed.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thank you! My eye doctor told me he doesn’t believe I have anything serious wrong with me, but my anxiety keeps wanting to tell me otherwise. I keep thinking the worst possible like a brain tumor or aneurysm. But I’m not having any balance problems or speech slur. My mom has bad migraines in her 20’s too. But these are all so sudden. What would be your best guess on what is wrong with me?
Brief Answer:
They can go on its own.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and thank you for asking again.
I don't believe it is important because the opthalmologic examination was ok.
I don't believe it can be related to tumor or aneurysm because it gives other symptoms like imbalance, dizziness, double vision and fainting. The flashes may have been caused by vitrous gel pulls on retina. I believe they can go away on their own.
It is true that anxiety makes the symptoms worse .
