I Flew 6 Hours Yesterday With 4 Hours Stuck In
chills point to an infection
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
The chills do point to an infection
It can be related to an infection but if there are no specific ear symptoms (ear pain or pressure or discharge or fullness or decreased hearing) or visible changes on examination of the ear, then cannot definitely say if related to ear.
If you do have ear related symptoms or known to have issues with your ears- then an infection may be present and you may need a course of antibiotics
Flying can cause disturbances with the ear but would not cause chills or infections. It can cause dizziness, headache and nausea but the fact that these are paired with chills make it unlikely related to the flying.
The use of paracetamol/tylenol would help with the headache and chills and medication such as dramamine would help with the nausea and dizziness. It is an old antihistamine that can help nausea, dizziness and also allergies. It would cause drowsiness however.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
