I Found A Lump In The Lower Left Side Of
Question: I found a lump in the lower left side of my vagina about 2 months ago. My gyno tried to biopsy it but was unable to reach it due to its location. Since then I’ve had several ultrasounds which show nothing. I saw one gyno oncologist that said he believed this was a calcium deposit of some sort and to not worry. I got a second opinion and this doctor was more concerned and ordered this m.r.i. While I wait for her call I was hoping you could interpret the mri report I am attaching.
-How concerned should I be ?
-Should I get further testing as in a pet scan?
-Should I just have it removed?
The first oncologist recommended not removing it unless it starts to grow in size. The second oncologist was waiting for this mri to see what next step will be. What is your recommendation?

Brief Answer:
There is no need for concern
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Ask a Doctor.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns.
I have read your notes and the MRI report.
It just appears to be calcium deposit in a gland. There is no need for concern.
It probably needs to be removed only if it grows in size.
Get a Pap smear done from the vaginal mucosa on that lump area. That will show if there are any abnormal cells. I am not suspecting any serious issue. But this test will reassure you further.
If you have further concerns, I will be happy to answer.
