I Got A New Prescription Of My Liquid Citalopram (

Question: I got a new prescription of my liquid Citalopram (Celexa) filled and the bottle cap it came with screws shut differently. For a couple of days now, I think I haven't been closing it tightly enough. The cap is on the top of the bottle but slightly crooked and when I try to open the bottle in the morning I can tell that it's not actually locked. I did have the cap on though. It wasn't completely off. My question is, could this affect the quality of the medicine? I will make sure I close it correctly from now on. But is the medication still OK to use and just as effective as it normally would be?
Brief Answer:
Yes it is
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.
I read your query and understand your concerns.
From the available description it appears that you are concerned with efficacy of Celexa as it was exposed to air due to defect in bottle cap.
I like to assure you that the air exposure unlikely to cause damage to quality of medication as maintaining temperature (read room temperature) is generally needed and cap is just to secure the contents of bottle.
I hope this helps you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.
Thanks and regards.
