
I Got My Second Tattoo Yesterday, On My Ankle. It

Question: I got my second tattoo yesterday, on my ankle. It is a little red surrounding the tattoo, is this normal given the trauma to the skin or could it be early infection

the first tattoo was mildly red but just directly around the lettering, however it was on my back and this one is on my ankle and i have been walking since getting it

Since the new tattoo is on the lowest part of body, the redness and edema takes time to settle.
Hene I would advise you to take rest, elevate the foot and leg above heart level in lying down position.
Photos show mild infection and does not appear to be infection.
Wait and watch, and get started for a few days with an anti-inflammatory medicine like Ibuprofen if it suits you.
Antibiotic, only if needed.
