I Had COVID In The End Of January. I Was

Question: I had COVID in the end of January. I was deemed high risk and given monoclonal antibodies. I am now terrified of having ADE of doing this. I plan to get a vaccine the very minute I can (it said I had to wait 90 days and I’m not eligible in my state yet anyways). My older child is how I caught it. He only had a migraine and I didn’t realize he had it. I’m scared to kiss my husband and scared to hug my kids. I need to know that the monoclonal antibodies will confer some protection.

Brief Answer:
Yes, it will. Nothing to be concerned.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have gone through your query and here is my advice.

As per your history, you had received antibody treatment in the month of January.

It may give protection for three months, so chances of reinfection are very less for these three months.

Let you know that very limited data is available regarding how our body's immune response (developed after vaccination) may react with previous antibodies (antibody treatment). So vaccination is not advised during these period.

So nothing to be concerned. Along with that watch for any flu like illness to any family member. Isolate him/her and take proper treatment. Kindly strictly follow covid preventive measures i e mask, hand hygiene, physical distancing.

Hope I have answered your query and let me know if I can assist you further.
