Brief Answer:
Normally, clot dissolves in 6 months to one year.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for posting your query.

I am Dr Sudhir Kumar, Neurologist, and I would try my best to help you.

I have noted your clinical details. Based on this, you have suffered from dural sinus thrombosis in brain two years ago, and are still taking anticoagulant medications. Despite that, the clot has not fully dissolved.

In most cases, clot dissolves within six months to one year time. If the clot is still persisting, we need to look for thrombophilic factors in the blood, which can make blood thick, leading to clot formation. Blood tests for that are- Protein C, Protein S and Anti-thrombin III.

Please also upload the reports of first and last MRI/MRV brain reports.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,
