I Had UTI (8-10 Puss Cells/hpf) And It Reduced To 3-4 Having Flavospas Medicine So What Are The Side Effects Of Flavospas?
Question: I had UTI (8-10 puss cells/hpf) and I completed 7 days of antibiotics as prescribed by the doctor.
The lower abdominal pain persisted a little, so I went for a follow up urine test. The doctor said the infection has reduced (3-4 puss cells/hpf) and prescribed me 3 days course of flavospas (2 tabs everyday). Couple of hours after I took the first tablet I sensed uncontrollable itching in the foreskin of my penis, it turned red and swollen. Is this a side effect? Should I stop costuming flavospas? If not, what's the remedy for this itching and swollen penis foreskin?
Please help!!

Brief Answer:
Possible fungal infection
Detailed Answer:
Hello there,
I can certainly understand your concern..
I have worked through your attached query in detail...
This could possibly be a side effect of the drug. It's advisable to stop its further intake.
A possibility of coexisting fungal infection of the penis is equally high.
I generally prescribe a short course of topical application of antifungal agents like Candid B to my patients with such symptoms.
Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe these medications to you.

But what about the faint pain that persists in the lower abdomin? Will it go by itself? I think the UTI has been cured.
