I Had A Cold , Then I Got A Cough

Question: I had a cold , then I got a cough , for 5 days with the cough I was getting spats of blood in my mucus when coughing , that stopped one month ago , the cold was 5 days the cough was 5 days , I have been fine for one month now , should I just let this go or go back to my doctor !
