Question: I had a coronary clot in 2016 and fixed a stent. few month later the doctors thought to subject me to XXXXXXX CT to check the arteries status but it did not work due to over calcified artries everywhere.
in a check up last week I had the attached analyses and as soon as the cardiologist saw them he said my serum caclium is too high which might need an Endocrinologist advice.
I am on:
Exforge HCT 10/16/25
concur 10
aspririn
plavix 75
crestor 20

kindly assess and advise

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service!

I reviewed your test reports carefully and would explain the main findings are vitamin D deficiency and a high parathormone level.

Your phosphorus levels are a little high, probably caused by vitamin D deficiency.

High parathormone levels are caused by vitamin D deficiency too.

Your ionized calcium levels are within the normal ranges.

The calcification of the arterial wall is related to vitamin D deficiency.

So, as you see, the main treatment is vitamin D supplements.

It is also important to closely monitor your blood pressure values in order to prevent further damage to the arterial wall.

Hope you will find this answer helpful! Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards,

Dr.Ilir Sharka,
