I Had A Dog(stray) Bite 4days Back On Leg And

Question: I had a dog(stray) bite 4days back on leg and I took rabies vaccine on same day (12hrs) and immunoglobulin(17hr). Also took 2nd dose today. But From yesterday I'm having fever, tingling on the bite area, nausea, not able to swallow food, and cold. Can you tell if this is rabies symptoms??

Hi
Rabies develops few months after Rabid Dog bite.
First,you should confirm that the dog is having Rabies.As per Medical literature,the dog dies 10 days after biting a human being if it is having Rabies.If you have not tracked that dog,leave it.
As you have taken the Vaccine in appropriate time, nothing to worry.
There might be some infection at the bite site.So,there are symptoms of fever, tingling in that area.Due to cold associated with Pharyngitis,,there may be difficulty in swallowing.Nausea may be psychological.
Please consult your doctor and get Antibiotic prescription to prevent bacterial infection at the bite site
Please do not attribute all the symptoms to dog bite.
They are not symptoms of Rabies.

Thanks for the explanation, I went to a GP and I'm taking antibiotics from yesterday but cold is still their. I was in stress because of the dog bite and still going through it.
Hopefully it would be ok.

If possible add an antihistamine (eg. tablet Levocetirizine 10mg once daily at bedtime).
